Nickname: Speedyheadshot (Nationality: Swedish/Sweden)

Alias: SpeedyHS, Spdyheadshot, SpdyHS, JegTrengerStavanger

Biography:

Began gaming online in late 2002 as DICE released ”Battlefield:1942”.

Joined his first clan in February 2003, the clan was called [FwF] – Fools with Firearms.

[FwF] moved its aim towards the BF1942 modification “Desert Combat” and quickly found and achieved status among the best clans in Sweden.

In March 2004, as the new game “Battlefield: Vietnam” was released, FwF moved over to that game and began playing it. The game never became a hit for the clan’s players. So a merge with former USB was set up. The new name of the clan was to become “cM. – Celere Mortis”.

After one or a few seasons in Scandinavia’s leading league NBVL the FwF-history was over.

But however, Speedyheadshot had gained reputation while playing in FwF/cM. he grabbed a spot in both the DC National Team and the BF:V National Team.

After the Nations Cup he joined up with League of Lamers(LoL) consisting of players from FwF, PvP and dsr.

The last remaining months of DC/BF:V-playing was spent mostly playing infantry wars together with LoL, and playing for fun in Team Valkyrie. Though Speedyheadshot was still playing on a high level in Desert Combat together with 3Zi, a top ranked European team.

During the summer of 2005, a new game was released by the DICE-company. It was this time called “Battlefield 2” and was a modern day FPS-game.

Speedyheadshot founded the team XtatiC.BF2 together with Nille(who had played for the Swedish national team back in Battlefield:Vietnam).

After only a few weeks the whole clan was called of, with lack of motivation as the thief.

The whole summer passed before Speedyheadshot was contacted by KaozZ!-ESports, where he later joined to play BF2 on a higher level. -Kz- was amongst the better teams in Sweden and kept a few really good players in their lineup.

But as always, a story has to come to an end, and that’s exactly what happened to KaozZ. Just as the last time the lack of motivation put a stop to the whole clan, and Speedyheadshot had become clanless, once again.

This time things were different, because Speedyheadshot wasn’t really considering to keep playing BF2 at all, so instead he moved to the newly released Activision game “Quake 4” to play with Bobbey (who was the clan leader for FwF, and played together with Speedyheadshot in KaozZ!).

After a few weeks playing Quake 4 Speedy’s skill had enhanced to a much higher level than in the beginning of his Q4 career.

Clans from the BF2 scene were still contacting him about starting to play BF2 again, and a Finnish man under the alias “Kalma” was spamming him on the chat networks.

Kalma represented a newly started clan called “CodeSeven (c7)” and consisted of players from all over Scandinavia.

Speedy decided to join CodeSeven and it was a success from the beginning.

Code7’s Biography:

Code7 was started by Marco "Corey" Hannukka in Septemper 2005. The original aim was to create a more competitive team for Battlefield 2 game and for creating such team, dedicated team of players needed to be found. After a rather long search Code Seven reached a full lineup by the end of november 2005. Along the way our ambitions took a lift from a competitive team to be one of the top teams in Battlefield 2 game.

After intense training and some player additions Code7 grew out to be a force to be recognized when year turned to 2006. February 2006 we took a big leap forward by being able to put a stop to the reign of German powerhouse Utopianer, later known as Xuffix and with the remnants of this team still actively playing under Team Dignitas. The game was played in Strike at Karkand map and was one of the last games played pre-1.2 patch. Later we fought our way to the CAL Europe finals and secured 1st place after beating Exit11 in finals.

After that Code7 was officially a top of the line in Battlefield 2. We kept defending our
European top spot in bf2 World tournament where we kept fighting week after week through the best world had to offer from North America to Europe, fighting against well prepared teams in ,without a question, the hardest seedings in that tournament. The massive effort we put in World Tournament paid off in May 2006 when we were able to beat Exit11 in the finals and crab the victory of 6 month World tournament.

After this it was time to take break. Summer was coming and nothing good was happening
in the competitive battlefield 2 scene. Of course this wasn't helped by game creators decisions to reinvent the game play in every patch they released and putting a price tag on new content, not "free" like gamers were used to in the past. We eventually got invited to one of the most expensive gaming events so far called "Championship gaming invitational" in mid-July 2006. A rather bold move by American TV-network giants trying to find new markets from the world of electronic sports. Code7 flew all the way to San Francisco to play show-off matches in TV environment against top US teams. It remains to be seen is the time just ripe yet for big TV involvement in competitive nerdish world of computer games.

Code7 was unquestionable the best team in Battlefield 2 game. In August 2006 this ended when the founding members felt it was time to end the involvement for battlefield series due to lack of challenge and rather non-competitive look in future of the battlefield franchise. The way we ended was a rather dramatic one and was coloured by some minor internal disputes which in the end, we felt were a by-product of a dried up competitive scene. Present day Code7 is keeping a low profile and just waiting what the future brings.
